We went out on a boat to Bardsey Island. It has 8 year-round residents, some cows, sheep, puffins, seals and 20,000 saints. The Victorians called it the Isle of the Dead, but then the Victorians would.
We climbed to the top of the hill. My sister took a photo of some lichen in her hair. Reclining on top of the world, pretty much. The remains of the abbey. A little lamb.
Returning to the mainland, it looked like a mirage.
