Tuesday

Ablution

Not so much the meaning but the sound of the word. This is ancient.

Saturday

Tourist

Blogger truly is the worst for laying out photos in posts. Here are some random snapshots from Paris, real holiday photos. Back on Monday with more.

Thursday

Blue and Gold

Looking down a well in the Paris catacombs, a mosaic ceiling in the Basilique de Bois-Chenu at Domremy, and the ceiling of an old theatre now being used as a cinema in Neufchateau.

Wednesday

Le Louvre

There's really far too much, but Jesus and an Egyptian spoon make a nice combination.

Tuesday

ZOO

This isn't really to A Zed and Two Noughts standard, but still a bit distressing. Empty enclosures, peacocks on the roof and a sixty year old chimpanzee just trying to get some sleep. In the middle of a park in Nancy.

Monday

Narbonne

It was too hot. My camera was full of sand. But the city is beautiful.
I'm actually on my way to Berlin now, but there should be a few scheduled posts to follow. The last of the summer.

Friday

Blue sky in Paris

I took some far more ambitious photo-collages which I've yet to attempt to stitch together, but here's a tiny one for the moment.

From the city to the sea,

6 Times by Antony Gormley. I'd say we got lost more than 6 times (flood prevention work = diversions), but it was worth it, even if some of the photos are a case of playing spot the tiny figure in the distance.

Thursday

Scale

A big cave at Buttes-Chaumont Park in Paris, view from the battlements at Carcassonne, paper models at Carcassonne too, Narbonne Cathedral, and the Pantheon in Paris. I'm such a tourist.
